For 10 years Jubilingo has been captivating audiences with their exploratory and deeply soulful brand of rock music. Formed in 2015 after veterans of the Georgia music scene, Jessica Holloway and Keith Hicks, both separately relocated to Denver and met for the first time at a local jam session. Shortly after they began playing with drummer Jake Herman and Jubilingo was formed! Drawing on their roots Jubilingo delivers adventurously improvisational and soulful performances with a distinctly southern flavor. Their sound is highlighted by the world class vocals Holloway, which carry forward the essence of some of soul’s greatest vocals, and exceptional guitar work of Keith Hicks, which re-imagine timeless themes of psychedelia while pushing the sonic limits of the guitar.
In truth, Jubilingo combines a variety of musical styles to render their signature sound that pays homage to past masters while forging new ground! Over the years while cutting their teeth in Colorado’s bustling music scene Jubilingo refined a sound that surpasses the simple sum of their talented parts. A typical Jubilingo set features themes of classic soul, funk, country, and world music all seamlessly woven together onto a powerful base of psychedelic rock. This distinctive sound has made an impression on audiences across Colorado and earned them a reputation as one of Denver’s most beloved local rock bands.
While the live experience is an essential part of the lifeblood that sustains the band the true driving force that guides Jubilingo is a dedication to bringing new original music to life. To this end, in the Fall of 2025 the band released two new singles: “Time Don’t Fade,” a psychedelic country-rock anthem, and “Reason and Rhyme,” a soulful, emotionally charged ballad—which together showcase the range of their songwriting and sound. There is much more original music to come from Jubilingo and but for now you will just have to come out to a show to see what they have been cooking up!
